Here is a crop of Worachate's C2 graphic for May 21-23, with the comet plotted for comparison. In 2008, there is a noticable difference in where the comets appear, compared to today, due to the spacecraft orientation.

Peter PM'd me on FB, got me looking at it just now. It is in the vicinity of the Meyer track for the date. Looks consistent in appearance with an elongated nature, supporting Worachate's statement. If not found by anyone prior, I am willing to confirm this report.

I agree that it's probably a Meyer group comet although trajectory is a bit off (due to orientation of the images in that era). Worachate Boonplod

I strongly believe that the "wacky" behavior is related to the fact that Parker Solar Probe is at perihelion today.
